Today, our class had 25 students.
7 new students arrived, all from Haiti.
New students arrive every day.
We read phrases and worked on verb conjugation.
We also read a textbook.
Some students, newly-arrived in Brazil, read a text in Portuguese
extremely well...
While other students, older, have made great progress.
My students are very intelligent, capable and hardworking.
Nothing can stop them from learning.
Not even the fatigue.
Today, the poet Adama Konate got a gift book:
"Paroles", by French poet Jacques Prévert.
It is to encourage him to write more and more, better and better poems.
Thus, the French poet can inspire the African poet.
I told him that one day,
I'll help him publish a book of his poems.
And so, this way,
A poet finds / discovers
another poet.
