"POVERTY" - Poem by the African black child from Mali, Adama Konate

"POVERTY"

A poem by Adama Konate

To live just one, fantastic day,
It’s better than live a whole life miserable
The large family was separated by the journey
Good education in the society is harmed
The main road to happiness is suppressed by poverty

The good home became the battlefield
The good wedding, in peace and respect, is transformed into divorce

The once good provider
Is known now as the irresponsible father
The powerful master of the family became helpless
The once young and noticeable people became the most unpopular

Misery is a pain
And the workers are not winning
The Divine sharing, once perfect, presents big differences now
The cry of the poor deserves the highest consideration
The once benefactor man has taken the path of crime
Due to the years he spent in prison

The poor child remembers his miserable family
In life, nothing is more difficult to achieve than changing
The despair always creates the failure of future success

Poverty is not a vice!
The world is crying day and night,
But it is the poor who dies without care
The miserable situation darkens the good character of an honest person

The difficulty of the times
The things in which man has lost his faith
The good life needs a helping hand chance to succeed

Suffering teaches a lot
The father does not abandon his family for nothing
Poverty is at the root of several disagreements and traisons

Being poor in the world is the despair in a painful life
Being poor in a country of dollar is very hard
It's really a hardness

Poverty is really bitter in perplexity
There is a time for everything
We will rise out of poverty!
Because, for the brave of heart,
Nothing is impossible!
