We studied the Lyrics of the Song
  "Happy Xmas - The Was is Over"

by John Lennon & Yoko Ono.


 Today we had 22 students from Haiti and Africa. 

All of them are francophone. We read and studied the lyrics of the song "Merry Xmas, War is Over" by John Lennon and Yoko Ono, in Portuguese.


We talked about the meaning and the importance of Christmas, what it represents, and what it was meant to be. What it could be... The lyrics of the song is very good to reflect upon... After all, it talks about an universal peace for all human beings, regardless of age, social class, gender or skin colour.

Pedagogy used: first, we translated the lyrics from Portuguese to French. Then, they read and understood the lyrics. Then, we worked on vocabulary, conjugation of verbes and the correct pronunciation of the words in Portuguese.
