Today we had the visit of Joelle & Marianna,
from a Christian Organization of London.
They came to visit Arsenal da Esperança, along with other 12 people from England.
After spending some days in Arsenal, they will go to Rio, to see the first visit of Pope Francis in Brazil.
We also went to see the shrine of Arsenal da Esperança, which is the heart and soul of this place.
Marco Vitale, director of Arsenal da Esperança, explaining why he brought this ancient oven from Turin.
He said this is a reference to Isaiah 2.
It is a SYMBOL.
A symbol of how Death Will Become LIFE.
Of how LOVE will Conquer Hate.
Of how Mankind will find PEACE.
This oven came from the ancient Bomb factory of Turin, Italy, used during the Second World War.
In 1983, this closed bomb factory was given by the italian government to Mr. Ernesto Olivero,
and became the Arsenal of Peace in Turin, that provides shelter for 1200 homeless people.
This oven was used to produce deadly bombs on WW2. Now it is a shrine, a reliquary.
It is a symbol of what Arsenal da Esperança is all about:
By helping the poor,
By giving food to the hungry,
By visiting the sick,
By preaching the Love of God in words and ACTIONS,
Arsenal of Hope, in São Paulo, Arsenal of Peace, in Italy,
and all the hundreds of collaborators and followers of Mr. Ernesto Olivero
are fullfilling the wishes of the Lord,
and helping to bring Peace to the World.
They are setting the Example.
They are showing the Way we must follow
Less empty Words. MORE ACTION.
Love and Compassion Must Be Translated into Action.
